2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 jarow (237) - Massachusetts, USA - APR 18, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow. Not a whole lot going on in the nose. Slight bready/cereal malts, slight yeast. Taste is very mild. Wheat barely comes through, very mild fruity tones. This one is certainly drinkable and doesn’t offend, but there’s just not very much going on.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2009
A lightly hazed golden weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, intense bananas, cloves and aromatic esters, intense and nice. In mouth, a light wheat malt with intense cloves, light aniseed, thinner than expected but very good. On tap at brewpub, Sept. 12 2009.

Pretty wheaty aroma. Uncloudy look. Falvor is better though. Not that wheay, with a good light character. Drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 scrizzz (2183) - Bothell, Washington, USA - SEP 7, 2009
Hazy orange brown, same as the wood at the table in the brewpub. Medium-full roast aroma. Seems strongly spiced, doesn’t the description at the bar say it’s Belgian? Now I can’t remember and it’s not in my notes. Initially toasted wheat, strong yeast character and seems to be spiced with coriander. I hope I’m not way off. As I drink it, it softens into gentle citrus and a bit of smoky driftwood.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4989) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2009
Tap@Brewpub. Strong banana aroma with some lemon. Hazy, dark yellow colour, white head, good lace. Sweetish, banana, hint of grapefruit, bitter for a Weizen. Refreshing, high drinkability, not really special but more than OK.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rcasta (686) - EL SALVADOR - FEB 16, 2009
en pike brewery con sici, parte de un sampler de siete birrias. pike’s market es increible, las patas de king crab inmensas. se come bien en seattle.
esta talvez fue la mejor despues de la tandem y la extra stout. suave y me gusto mas la pyramid
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 after4ever (4314) - Brier, Washington, USA - FEB 13, 2009
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy light copper amber with a fairly apathetic little off-white head. Big sour wheat nose with plenty of banana yeast esters and clove notes as well. Homebrew tried it and pointed out that too many american brewers refuse to believe that hefeweizen yeasts can work well at 62-64F, so they leave them out at 74-76 and they go bonkers, leaving behind way too many esters in the process. Interesting point. The body’s creamy and medium, plenty more of the banana and clove plus sour yeast on the mid-palate. It’s a clean enough little beer but they probably need to rethink the philosophy behind their fermentation.
