COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied beer with deep chocolate color, velvety malt texture, and a dark-roasted flavor, with hints of smokiness and coffee. It combines the dryness of traditional Dublin-style stout with the strength and character of Imperial Stout.

A rich dark chocolate aroma. Flavor is almost oatmeal stout thick. Chewy chocolate. Roasty but quite good in small amounts.

On tap at Saraveza. Colour... jet black with a 1/4 inch khaki head. Nose... dark, roasted malt, hops and dark chocolate. Palate... creamy, yet dryish, very roasty, moderately coating and semi-viscous, smoky, bitter chocolate, full-bodied coffee and a long finish.

Thick black pour with a creamy tan head. Lots of dark fruit, soy sauce, roasted grain and chocolate aroma. Smooth chocolate taste with hints of dark fruit. Slightly bitter chocolate aftertaste. Really nice stout.

Bottle from The Bier Stein in Eugene, OR. Poured a dark brown almost black. I could definately smell the roasted malts. Bitter roasted malt flavor backed with coffee and nutty flavors. Well done for a stout.

Outstanding. A nice suprise considering it didn’t appear to be much of anything special. It looked like a redheaded stepchild but packed all the right flavors. Chocolate, a little coffee, some toasty flavors, all-around goodness

I was expecting something a little fancier. Wasn’t really that impressed. A good dark stout, nice dark malt nose and body. But nothing new really.

A dark black beer with a nice foamy 1 finger tan head. Aroma of roasted burnt malt, & coffee. Taste was roasty, dark chocolate, bitter coffee, & slightly creamy. It said extra stout on the bottle. What is an extra stout? Halfway between a sout & Imp. Stout. By the looks & taste of it, it does taste like it is halfway between both a stout & Imp. Stout.
