Bomber. Pours a very dark brown with a medium creamy tan head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong roasted malt with alcohol, smoke, and chocolate. Full bodied with a thick roasted malt and oatmeal flavor with a bitter finish. A very good stout from Pike.

Very attractive beer in appearance, pitch black with a nice sized tan head..that fades fast, but theres always a thick lace on top.
Very nice roasty/chocolaty aroma. fresh.
Taste is quite sweet to start, then the roasty/dark coffee aspects come in to play, smooth finish, then some bitter after taste.I get some rather faint smokey hints in this beer.
good mouthfeel, quite smooth and delightful.
A good stout ,very drinkable and not too heavy.

Bottle at the Chris_o shindig. Shiny black, nice fine dark tan head. Black olive aroma, chocolate, dark rum, vanilla--very nice. Clean chocolate flavor, the perfect amount of heat to give it punch. Vanilla. A really well-crafted stout.

22 oz bottle. Pitch black with a quick dissipating tan head. Aroma of chocolate, burnt sugar, coffee and smoky wood. The flavor is bittersweet chocolate with some hop bitterness. Full body with mild carbonation and a thick soft mouth feel. This is a very nice Stout, very full flavored and goes down smooth.

bottle poured a dark black in color with a coating of heavy brown head when poured with some force. aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, tobacco, mild coffee, and some faint hops. thick mouth feel with low side carbonation that coats well. flavor gets a bigger roast, chocolate, light bitterness, and some mild coffee. this bottle was bought with a 2007 barley wine and has some oxidation so this is probably a bit aged as well.
