On tap at Saraveza. Colour... jet black with a 1/4 inch khaki head. Nose... dark, roasted malt, hops and dark chocolate. Palate... creamy, yet dryish, very roasty, moderately coating and semi-viscous, smoky, bitter chocolate, full-bodied coffee and a long finish.

Bomber from Total Wine in Kennesaw, $3.99. Poured jet black with a decent brown head. Left a lot of lace. Aroma of deep roasted malts and some chocolate. Some subtle smoke in there too. Flavors consist of roasted malts, smoke and an espresso like bitterness. Super smooth and full mouthfeel, perfect carbonation. This one was quite a surprise for how much it cost. Finishes way dry with a lingering roastiness that hangs around for awhile. Very good.

Pours dark like cola with a flat carbonation and tan head. Chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel, and vanilla in the nose. The taste is similar with extra roasted flavors. The palate is moderately thick and lingers on the tongue. A pretty great stout.

On Tap at The Pike. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of sweet toasted dark malt. Tastes of coffee roastedness with a little bit of a burnt note. Earthy hops. Full of flavor, leaves thick tan lacing that coats the glass impressively. There is some depth here. On a side note, this was part of a 3 beer, 3 chocolate beer/chocolate pairing sampler. Only beer that had a chocolate dark and bitter enough to successfully pair.

22 oz bottle from the back of the closet...probably about 18 months old from Belmont Station in Portland. Pours almost black....definite taste of coffee and chocolate...nice balance; not at all bitter but just an edge there...very tasty...well done / wish I had a few more tucked away...

Very dark, pour vigorously but still got only a little tan head. Aroma is intense with with chocolate. Taste is strong chocolate and coffee and bitterness. Finish is bitter, but wants you having another sip. Great stuff.
