COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied beer with deep chocolate color, velvety malt texture, and a dark-roasted flavor, with hints of smokiness and coffee. It combines the dryness of traditional Dublin-style stout with the strength and character of Imperial Stout.

Black with medium brown head. Sweet roasted malt in the aroma with notes of wood, bourbon and coffee. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel and coffee. Flavor disapoints a bit.

[1098-20080216] Tap @ Pike brewpub (Seattle, WA). Mocha roasted malt aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head and thick lacing. Very thick burnt coffee malt roast flavour. Rough and thickly full body. Overpowering coffee but a solid stout regardless.

Weak dark roasted malt and charcoal aroma with licorice hints. Black, viscous, with a thin brown head, decent lacing. Dry, yet strong flavor of charcoal, smoke, and ash. Finishes more tart, malty, and with black pepper. This should be wonderful with swedish meatballs. Very nice. I’m beginning to like this brewer.

Thanks to whoever popped this at the ORF release! Dark pour with a fluffy chestnut colored head. Aroma is chocolate and heavy roast. Flavor is dominated by roast and peat. Finish is dry and and bittersweet chocolate

Strong roasted malt aroma, very dark brown, creamy small tan head, lacing all down the glass. Nice 1.5 stout. Heavier than yr typical stout, smaller than an imperial. Just beefy with a scowl. Intense roast, dry grain, kick ass.

On tap at The Pike Brewery in Seattle. Poured a nice dark black stouyt color with a thin off white head. Aroma was chocolate malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Flavor was chocolate and coffee, but not overly bitter or full of tannins. This was a great stout.
