COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied beer with deep chocolate color, velvety malt texture, and a dark-roasted flavor, with hints of smokiness and coffee. It combines the dryness of traditional Dublin-style stout with the strength and character of Imperial Stout.

This dark brown ale poured with a decent tan head and a coffee aroma. There is a rich malt flavor that is heavy on coffee and chocolate. This is not a sweet beer but is, rather, very dry with a bitter chocolate finish. A nice brew that is quite unique among stouts.

Outstanding. A nice suprise considering it didn’t appear to be much of anything special. It looked like a redheaded stepchild but packed all the right flavors. Chocolate, a little coffee, some toasty flavors, all-around goodness

Pours an oily black with a thin brown head. Aroma of chocolate and flowers. Sweet and acrid with burnt chocolate flavor. Big soft body but a relatively dry finish. Lingering bitter oiliness. Good stuff.

2002 Vintage. Pours black with brown head. Lots of roasted malt and molasses in aroma with a litte coffee and chocolate as well. Exactly same on flavor. Was a little bit thin, otherwise a fine stout.

Black with a tan head. Medium strong smell of blackned malts and roasted nuts. Full bodied and very smooth. Rich, strong black malt and coffee flavor here is chalky dry without much sweetness. Has a lingering burnt malt bitterness to finish. 21107

Good stout. Dry but OK. Good roastiness and good bitterness & sometimes that’s enough. Don’t necessarily need to find chocolate and fruit and other crap.

On tap at the brewery. Poured black with a dark brown head. Aroma was chocolate, coffee, and roasted notes. Medium bitterness and lightly sweet. Medium oily body with a light coffee finish.

Bottle. A black beer with a big brown head. The aroma and taste is of roasted malt/coffee, light smoked. Medium to full body with a dry, coffee finish.
