On tap at the Brewery on 3/17/12. Color is an almost black brown with mellow carbonation and a thin tight head. Aroma is a smoky roasted malt scent. It has a medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor of deep roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee, ending with a sharp bitterness. After taste is dry with a lingering bitterness. Overall its good, but still just a basic stout.

draft. starchy, husky and rough texture throughout with burnt char / soil / firewood malt. astringent and scorching huskiness. poorly made, underattenuated, sloppy use of yeast gives it an unpalatable and unclean ester profile. god this brewery sucks.
