3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
The 8th Redhill Beer Festival 2 Nov 12. Mørk rubinrød. Nesten ikke skum. Karamellaroma med antydning til frukt. Smaken er søte plommer. Blir vel søt.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Gravicask, half-pint shared with Finn at the Redhill Beer Festival. Clear, dark amber body without a head. Malt-fruity smell. Bready malts and resinous hops in the flavour character. Bittersweet twist to the ending. Easy to drink and pretty straight forward for the style, 02.11.2012.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Dark amber with white head. Quite a malty bitter, bready body with hints of cereal, then a bittering hop note, quite humdrum, blandish really but drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First tasted this in Coanes, Johnstone in May 1997. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear copper red in colour with a thin white head. Tart redcurrant fruit flavours zesty in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt complex gives a digestive biscuit base with tart redcurrant and syrupy date fruit evident. Thin, tinny metallic hop resins give a weak astringent note to the bitter aftertaste. Finish is malty and dry with woody cask notes present. An ok session bitter but lacking depth and complexity.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at Kingston BF, 28th June 2008, with renffisch. Coppery amber with a little bit of head. Toffee, biscuit and hop notes on the nose and in the flavour, which is improved by a peaty hit to the back of the throat. Decent, but not outstanding.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned - handpump - Criterion Leicester. A dark amber coloured beer. The aroma is malty and there are bready notes. The taste is fruity with some alcohol warmth. Quite decent and punching above its weight as far as strength is concerned.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint pulled at The Crown Inn in Groomsbridge (Kent), brown with a white foamy head. A malty aroma with some caramal. A smooth palate with a rich and warm maly flavour. A good solid ale.
