i didn't mind this too much. it certainly tastes like generic lager from the brewing 3rd world but at least it has some actual bitterness in the finish rather than some sweet dryness

There is the Seinfeld episode where the 'Soup Nazi' protects his recipes as if they are the codes to the US nuclear strike force activation program. Then there must be the recipe that no-one cares about. Like scones, or bread. You know, it's add ingredient (a) to (b) to (c). Anyway, they got hold of the generic recipe for a lager, and said, 'hey, let's brew a lager'. They did, followed the recipe, and failed to do anything spectacular, or more than ordinary.
