Scopey (6718) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2014
Cask at the Vintage, Leith. It pours clear golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is brown bread, wood, mild spice, leather and florals. The taste is crisp, doughy, floral, spice, breadth malt and light stone fruits with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a whole lot to it...

Beese (1667) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2014
Cask at The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh on 20 May. Poured a hazy amber, with a thin white head and good lacing. Light aroma; some grassy and floral hops. Initial flavours of lychee, oranges and straw. Finish was resin, chewy malt and a metallic note.

Tap at Cumberland. Good looking golden clean pour. More ale than pale ale. I much preferred the moccachino.

Cask at Bow Bar. Pours clear gold, thick white head. Light malt aromas, straw and bread. Light honey sweetness on the taste. Clean finish. Would like to try it when the kegged version is available.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014 Review is a combination of trying on cask at Jake’s Place and from bottle at The Pantry. Clear ruby/golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Light lacing. Clean aroma of straw, pear and red fruits. Flavour of apricot, earth, sweet pale malt and a touch of caramel. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Straightforward but tasty. A bit sweeter than I was expecting.

On tap at the Bow Bar. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - honey and lemon Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied and just a little too sweet for me. Overall - a solid citizen.

pale golden with lacing white head. Soft carbonation. Gentle nettle and raspberry nose. Medium body, sweet malt, finishes quite long, not really lager like.
