1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Couldnít pass up the chance to add Peru to my list of countries rated. Fizzy yellow. Small white head. Grassy aroma with hints of corn. Watery and light to the extent that itís impossible to describe as unpleasant. Itís almost like this one isnít even there. Another foreign snoozefest.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Found this bottled in St. Charles, Illinois. Yellow pour with a bubbly white head, weak nose of sweet canned corn and not much else going on with this one. Your standard yellow fizz. Got a new country out of it, but pretty lame.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Mid-golden with persistent carbonation maintaining a spongy white head. Cattiness fades to sweet grasses and thick grainy notes. Mild, bittersweet flavor with a touch of sourness. Light alcohol shows late. Rather uneventful.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours golden corn haze reminiscant of a Kevin Costner film. But unlike ol Kevin, this isnít too bad. Its tolerable and has a bit of fizz to it. Watery by definition but definately not water world. thank feckin heyzeus. Taste is of malty corn, piled high with some lima-beans. more like a heiny than anything else. Listening to some charango, a native peruvian instrument.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a frothy white head that settles quickly. Bready aroma with some citrus hints. Flavor of an american macro (i.e. nothing much) maybe a hint of spices. Light, dry, and crisp. Better than nothing down here. Enjoyed this cervesa with my new amigos at the Peruvian Air Forces 6th Air Group Officers Club in Chiclayo. Salud!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2006 From a 12 oz. brown bottle with no bottled/freshness date, served in a clear restaurant glass.
Poured a clear pale pilsener golden with a foamy white head that settled into a
Had a clean nose overall, a sweet pilsener maltiness, lightly bready and
floral, subtle spicy hoppiness.
Moderate carbonation overall, crisp, dry and smooth, more light bodied
mouthfeel than medium bodied.
Dry, crisp, but in the end, average bland pilsener tasting, dry sweet,
slightly sugary, pale malts, a soft spicy, floral hop bitterness and a dry bready
finish with light metallic malt flavor lingering in the palate, not bad, but
average drinkability when compared to other pilseners.
Had this for dinner tonight at South American theme restaurant, did go well
with different plates I tried.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Samís Wines, Downers Grove. Despite my feeling about the Heinie-wannabes of countries without beer traditions, Iíll try íem anyway, just to pop the cap on a new land. Now listing this as a Dortmunder means I could hold this to a higher standard than the usual pale lagerÖ Somewhat hoppy smell at first, but then a bit of corn sugar. Head rises short, then dwindles quickly. Usual pale yellow color. I thinkthereís a bit of Dortmunder character, but perhaps itís just because Iím looking for it there. Taste is relatively clean, a slight touch of pilsner malt. But again, accompanied by corn adjunct. Specific bitterness hard to find. I didnít expect much, and thatís what I got.
