vmilaxer29 (144), Virginia, USA Dec 19, 2007 It is the worst of the costa rican beers, very skunky, i would still with the imperial while you are down there. rane (493), Nibe, Denmark Dec 7, 2007 Bottle. Pale yellow with little head. Not much aroma. Taste thin and very average for a pale lager. Boring Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Oct 24, 2007 Brought back from Costa Rica From my pal Irishcarbomber(Aaron) better than expected, some sweetness to it, but all in all decent drinking. Some corn, Carbonation, stickiness to it, but drinkable, as good as an american macro, I’d probably choose this one! ok. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Sep 20, 2007 The worst of the Costan Rican beers I have tasted. Skunky aroma. Fizzy, light yellow, extremely carbonated, a typical latin american pale lager. Skunk all over. CIPS514 (77), Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA Sep 4, 2007 This is the best beer Costa Rica has to offer. It has a wonderful mix of rice and malts that gives a very regal taste for the country. Not the best beer in the world but it is the best from the region and country. midget (1), San José, Costa Rica does not count Jul 31, 2007 The best beer in Costa Rica, as it slogan says: "Mejor una cerveza, mejor una Pilsen" - (Better a Beer, better a Pilsen) Beerlando (2283), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 13, 2007 Tried this one years ago in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. Not nearly as popular as Imperial in country, but similar in style and content. I actually found it to be a bit more flavorful than its big brother, but its still just a pale lager. Superior to most American macros. Refreshing on those hot, hot Costa Rican afternoons and evenings. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada May 24, 2007 My fourth little gem brought back from Costa Rica by my brother-in-law. For me this ranks alongside Imperial for being a clean tasting, albeit fairly featureless, pale lager. There is a definite faintly fruity quality to this beer that makes it quite refreshing actually. Not bad for Costa Rica, I’ve had worse macros in Canada.
