Blonde beer Pilsen type, with a 4,2 Gl alcohol degree concentrate of fine bitter taste and a pronounced smell of the best hops. Pilsener has been the beer with most participation and market share in Ecuador.

For what this is -- a light beer, it’s totally drinkable. Enjoyed straight from the bottle -- and it’s colder than the weather right now, so bonus points for that. Taste does have a nice crispness until the bottle actually overwhelms the aftertaste leaving a bit of rusty pipe on the tongue.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2007 in can 330 ml., Yellow color, very pale. It has a small cord, whitish. Later it is something cloudy. It is something bitter, with a fund of masses, land. The body is thin. It is what I call a “flat beer”. It is a bit more than a beer water. (Shared with Lilith and Panzerfaust)

Can, 330 ml Pours a clear, pale yellow color. Medium white airy head, fast diminishing that leaves an ugly lacing. Aroma is full of adjuncts, corn, metal and vegetables. Some alcoholic notes too but overall a typical cheap south american macro pale lager. Flavor is watery with tiny hints of hops and a trace of malt. Notes of corn, asparagus, artichokes and high sweetness in the end. Really nasty. Watery texture, light bodied. High carbonation, flavorless finish. Metallic aftertaste. Eww!

Much like other things in Ecuador, Pilsner´s inability to be predictabe or consistent makes it difficult to rate this beer. The beer varies from bottle to bottle to can. However, if you want to use fancy words to describe it: it has a very pale pour. If you get the right can or bottle it will have a head, but it is fairly limited. It tends to have a watered down taste with a light aroma. But lets be honest... they are $0.60 for 500 ml.

Extremly pale pour, with almost no head. Aroma is very light, with a sweet papery malt hint and some corn as well. Extremely thin, with damp cardboard notes and some sweet corn upfront. There’s no bitterness in the finish.

A yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is metalic with notes of brewing cereal and some sourness. The flavor has light notes of both metal and malt, leading to a slightly bitter end. And the body is thin.

Bottled. Pale yellow coloured. Clear. Dense off white head. Sweet and metallic aroma. Flavour is earthy, metallic and somewhat artificial sweet. Very unpleasant. Thin bodied and watery. Metallic end. Very boring beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Neutral aroma, perhaps a bit of brewing cereal. Medium body with lightly sweet notes of brewing cereal. The finish is somewhat watery and sloppy without any hops. 201206

Clear light golden color, foamy snow white head. Over-boiled vegetable aroma with some sweetness, not very pleasant. Sweet at first in the flavor, but after an instant it turns to a harsh burned hay note - BVADR! Fortunately the mouth is thin! Really really bad and WAY overrated!

Bottled. Best before December 2006. Yet another bland, uninspiring lager; but very easy to drink without any awful aftertastes like that God-forsaken Polar from Venezuela. Bonus points for Pilsener because my folks used this to cook ribs last Saturday, and those ribs were pretty good!
