Maria (10176) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 21, 2009
Thisted tasting. It is golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw and light flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and a refreshing and dry bitterness and notes of malt and light flower. It’s not bad, even if it only has 3,5%.

50 cL can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a one finger thick and chalk white head. Aroma is vague butterish and with a mild cornish note. Mild sweet malt flavoured, light butterish and caramel note too. Vague cornish note into a mild bitter finish.

Marsiblursi (3028) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2008
(Bottle) Pours clear golden with small white head. The aroma is of straw/hay-like malt and weak Saaz hop tones of grass, light herbs and some light floral hints. The nose is too clean and lifeless to be enjoyable. The flavour is light malty and medium-light hoppy with tones of straw and grass. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. The mouthfeel is clean and dry. Light bodied. The “original” 4.4 % is much better.

DerWeg (1524) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 29, 2008
Silver Foil bottles, about thirty cents from convenience store in old Prague. Paler and weaker than its golden-capped brother - but in these very fresh bottles is showing some decent hop aroma. A good session beer for wandering around Kampa Park. (comprised from notes on trip 1995)

Egon (478) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - MAR 18, 2008
Bottle. Clear golden with white head. More bitterness in this than the Ĺbro Bryggmästarens Bästa Pilsener 3.5% I tried before. A bit dry and a hint of grass. Not as good as the original but not that bad. As the other 3.5 % pilsener it is thin but that comes with the low alcohol I guess.

Svesse (6296) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2008
(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with hints of toffee and lots of grassy hops, almost metallic. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toffee and lots of grassy hops in the finish. Rather dry. Defintely thinner than the original version, but otherwise very much in line with that one. One of the better 3,5% beers on the swedish market.

Gr0ve (2156) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 9, 2007
500 ml bottle. Crystal clear golden colour. Medium-sized coarse white head. Light and crisp hop aroma with a somewhat watery feeling to it. Light-bodied. High carbonation level. Rather high and crisp bitterness. The lowered alcohol level is not a good thing. I definitely prefer the ordinary version as this one feels a bit too watery and light.

OleR (4802) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2007
UPDATED: APR 1, 2007 500 ml can. Same clear golden color as the 4,4% abv original version. But this one has a far more ’light’ attitude. Almost hopless aroma. Quite dry and clean taste, some hopbitterness, but a very weak malt profile. Quite thin and light-bodied. I’ll stick to to the elder brother...

ekstedt (5626) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2007
Bottle. Clear golden with a medium white head. Bready, malty aroma with floral hops and butterscotch. Thin mouthfeel. Nice bitter finish. Quite OK for a 3.5 abv, but the missing 1 % is clearly affecting this bear.
