On tap at Urquell. Hazy golden with a tall. dense and creamy head leaving laces. Very malty aroma with a whiff of yeast. Medium body, sweet maltiness with lots of flowery hop accents. Dry and hoppy finish with the hops really growing on your palate. 270608 and 280608.

On draught on tour at the brewery. A hazy golden colored beer, with a beautiful white thick head. The aroma of hops, malt and some wood. The taste of hop bitters, a little bit sweet with malty and wood notes. Drink it slowly, the temperature rises and it will be more tastefull. It has a lovely dry bitter aftertaste.

(Rating #1967)

[I don’t need to say where I got this] Plenty of fresh czech hops in the nose together with a citrusy sulfur. Hazy caramel with a lasting clingy white foam. Excellent caramel maltiness behind a fairly assertive bitterness that seems to be more rounded in the filtered version. Tons of fresh hops flavour, but also fermentation sulfur and even some DMS. They tell me that’s it’s impossible, but I’m sure that I could detect a hint of aromatic oak in the very end as I licked my lips. Medium body and a lasting bitterness. Moderate carbonation--higher than one may expect from a cask.

(6/26/08) Draught at Na Parkanu in Plzen. Hazy golden with a rather big and bubbly white head. Aroma of some yeast and nice grassy hoppiness. Flavor starts a bit malty sweet with some yeastiness and finishes with good grassy hops bitterness. Medium-bodied. Very fresh and tasty. 7/4/7/4/15=3.7
(6/27/08) From an oak barrel at the brewery in Plzen. Cloudy golden with a big white head. Aroma has a lot of yeast, some oak and very nice grassy hoppiness. Sweet malty flavor with some caramel, some pleasant oakiness and a long bitter hoppy grassy finish with a little spicy hint. Medium-bodied with a rounded silky mouthfeel. Really refreshing and definitely the best Pilsener I’ve ever had. 7/4/8/5/16=4.0
