You can drink it at any moment. One of my favorite beer from Czech Republic. I have tried the original brew in Plizen. It was really smooth and mellow with a hoppy flavor.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 uhre (384) - DENMARK - JAN 29, 2010
Tasted at the brewery down in the cellar of Urquell. The aroma is hoppy with notes of malt. Nice head. The flavor is hoppy too, but with a nice malty profile too it ends with a nice bitterness. Never have I had a beer in such an exciting environment!
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dedollewaitor (12287) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2009
Rating # 3700. Had this several times at both U Rudolfina, Na Spilze, U Parlamentj, Na Parkanu and direct from the barrel at the brewery. Actually I came to like the tank versions a bit better. It pours hazy golden with a fine lasting creamy egg white head and lacings. Amazing nose and taste. A bit of butter, buiscuit and yeast and lots of fresh, floral and grassy hops. Hoppy, dry and crisp. The palate is smooth. Very tasty and quaffable.
4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 shrubber85 (5972) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2011 Tap at Na Parkanu. Strong barley malt and yeast aroma. Cloudy amber color with giant off-white head. Yeasty barley malt flavor with a strong dry grass hops finish. Everything that’s great about Pilsner Urquell coupled with everything that’s great about an unfiltered beer - glorious. If only I could have this every day. From Brewery tour - Honey barley malt and hops aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with large head. Honey barley malt with moderate Saaz hops flavor. Light carbonation. So great.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 3, 2009
Sampled both at Na Parkane and from a wodden barrel in the cellar of the brewery. This rating is based on the wooden barrel version. Great laceworks from a dense three-finger, foamy blond head. Body is hazy, shiny golden with an orangey hue. A fresh yeasty scent up front, followed by a crisp sourish-dry, grainy malt aroma, with delicate, grassy hops and a faint citrus-fruity note. Strong malt body, considering the relatively low abv. Fresh and sour-sweet. A fine, floral and grassy hop bitterness lingers all the way to the finish. Notes of fresh yeast, wood and citrus. Mouthfeel is crisp and vivid, and a suitable cellary rawness makes it extremely drinkable. Finishes on the dry side, with lingering hops and malts. Awesome beer, and a great experience tasting it from the source.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Rusty (1528) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - SEP 10, 2009
From wooden tanks at brewery and on tap at Na Parkanu. Pours a nice slightly hazed golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, hops and a little bit of earthiness. The yeast stands out in this beer and melds with the bitteer saaz hops and malt to form a well balanced pils. Light fruitiness is apparent as well. Nice creamy mouthfeel and finishes easy and crisp.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 10, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2009 Draught at Na Parkane. A cloudy light gold with a large and airy foam head. A slightly sweet malt and yeast aroma. Citrus sweetness, combined with a yeasty dryness. Bittersweet and very moreish.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 jorgeenmerich (19) - USA - JUL 29, 2009
Small creamy head, red-brown color. Sweez aroma, candies, molasse and fruits. Flavor is very malty, quite roasty, caramel but few sweetness. Some ester, plums but not too intensive. Quite alcoholic finish, herbal, light to medium bitter hop notes. Light bitter aftertaste. Pleasant, complex brew.

Unfiltered, unpasteurized from the tap in Pilzen at Na Parkanu...lost for words.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jukkabro (3486) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 6, 2009
(At Pivovarsky Klub) Standard lager colored with little white head, cloudy appearance. Hopped basic urquell aroma with flowery tones. Medium bodied. Flavor in start is similar for normal one, with flowers and hops, aftertaste lasts as bitter one and as slightly yeasty. Well, I am disappointed to this one, due to rather high expectations.
