Pilsner Urquell Nefiltrovaný (unfiltered) is available on the Plzensky Prazdroj tour and at Na Parkanu in Plzen. A limited number of kegs were exported to Sweden and Finland for special events. Though the beer is not kvasnicovy (yeast beer), as there is no wort or young yeast added, it is unpasteurized and unfiltered.
Unfiltered Pilsner is available in selected pubs every october. Note that this is not the same as the more widespread tankovná (tank beer) or the unpasteurized (filtered) version, both of which are found throughout Prague and Czech Republic. all of these other versions should be reviewed under the regular Pilsner Urquell entry. Additionally, the 170 year Anniversary flip-top bottles should be reviewed under the regular Pilsner Urquell entry.

Hm, not sure about this one. The blackboard claims that this is the nefiltrovaný, but to me it’s not very different from the regular Urquell. Due to language difficulties I didn’t bother asking the staff to clarify. It pours a slightly hazy (so, nefiltrovaný after all?), golden body, with a white, long-lived head. Moderate aroma of pale malts, noble hops and light caramel, quite like any other high-quality pilsner. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, with additional citric hints. Light sweet taste with a moderate bitter finish. Mid-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. A nice pilsner, but nothing special.

The best overall beer in the world, well they started 1842, so they have had a long time to adjust the recepi and process.

On tap. Opal deeper golden colour, bigger sized stabile white head. Nose of yeast, mild herbs... Aroma brings biscuits, dough, some flowers and herbs, smooth slick mouthfeel. Bittersweet, herbal hoppy finish. Refined, very nice.

NaPa. Full, rich, really rewarding on the palate. Big hops (especially from the cellar), caramel, lengthy body. Really demands repeat drinks. Just a great beer, with a great history from a great little town.
