Ober (1165), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands Oct 4, 2008 On draugt. A clear golden colored beer, with a nice thick white head. The aroma is malty, a nice touch of hops, with some flowers. The taste is smooth bitter, hoppy and touches of fruits. It has a long soft bitter aftertaste. DrSamPHD (60), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA Oct 2, 2008 Poured a light gold with a decently frothy head which was about 2 fingertips in width. A hoppy aroma with a very refreshing taste. Nicely balanced. Good beer. ewestern (198), Ohio, USA Oct 2, 2008 Golden color with a tint of orange to it, white head. Weak aroma but picking up some malts. Subtle malt flavor with spices. Bit of a bitter aftertaste with a peppery twist to it. Not bad as it warms up either. Sparky27 (1567), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear gold with bid 4 finger snow white head that receded fairly quickly and resulted in very spotty lacing. Nose is malt, sweet corn and grassy hops. Taste is sweet malt, honey and grain with a decent pils bitter finish. Medium, creamy mouth feel. I’ve had this on tap before and it’s much better. Still decent in bottles. WakeandBake (422), Greenville, Michigan, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle.Clear light golden color with a foamy white head.Crisp aroma of light floral hops. Tastes slightly sweet and refreshing. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and slightly metallic . A solid offering.
JonnyDr (132), , South Yorkshire, England Sep 29, 2008 Updated: Nov 27, 2008Pale yellow lager with frothy head and predominantly hoppy aroma. Hoppy and grainy with crisp citric notes and bitter finish. Very good European lager. dirt55 (150), Washington, USA Sep 28, 2008 bottled, dark golden pour with nice white head and plenty of carbonation, smell is ...odd...hoppy?...i dunno..reminds me of the "Beer" that my grandparents used to drink...yes I’m talking about that white can/bottle that used to just say "Beer"...crisp and sharp metalic taste with lingering hops on the palate, if this is the Pilsner that all others shall be judged...I’m obviously not a pilsner guy. Pepa (2), , Illinois, USA does not count Sep 22, 2008 The beer I use to rate other beers against. This is how the beer should be - the ultimate!
