Bottle. Deep orange-red body, thin-medium clumping head. Light woody nose, acidic and thin with cocoa powder notes. Thin body, woody with chocolate/cocoa. Weak and unchallenging.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of burnt caramel and malt. Pours a dark brown with an mostly lasting tan head and minimal lacing. The taste is a nice combination of sweet vs. bitter. Sweet fruit initially followed by roasted malt and a nice bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, I liked this porter.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The color of this beer is gorgeous, for it is a deep brownish red with a small white head. Also, the aroma of the beer is interesting as a combination of caramel and roasted chocolate. The taste and palate make for a intriguing combination: there is a sweet yet bitter taste of a stout mixed with a light body, thin texture, abrupt finish, and soft carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint can from the Flying Saucer in Little Rock, AR. Pours a deep brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is roasty with a light dark chocolate sweetness, earth, and a few hints of dark fruit. A bit of a licorice character to this as well. Flavor is similar. Pretty heavily roasted with a light dark chocolate sweetness, touches of dark fruit and licorice, and some burnt malts. Finishes dry, roasty, lightly sweetened, and fairly earthy with a medium-light bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid porter. Roasty, earthy, and somewhat burnt with a nice, light sweetness to balance. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It poured a nice solid dark, dark brown color with a small frothy tan head. The aroma was of thick roasty malt with some dark chocolate sweetness. The taste was quite similar with a huge milk coffee flavor and a hint of burnt wood. A decent Porter, good job.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Liked this new porter - reminded me a little of Founders in overall flavor profile, but not quite as complex smell or taste-wise, and a little more watery in the palate. Still, a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample from beerfest in Augusta. Poured a darker black color with a nice two finger tan head. Left lacing on the glass as it went. Aroma was milk chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Flavor was burnt notes, coffee and chocolate. Drier finish. Good beer from a newer company.
