Pours a clear amber on tap with thin off-white head and light lacing on the way down. Aroma of caramel and an astringent pine. Taste is caramel and chocolate malts, dark crystal malt, and a hint of piney hops. The alcohol is well hidden and its easy to drink considering, but otherwise its mediocre.

Berries and toasty grains on the nose, big sweet flavor with considerable alcohol kick, followed by more berries, lightly tangy fruits, subtle caramel. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Modest warmth to finish with some alcohol flavor, caramel, faintly tangy berries. Not bad. A bit heavy handed.
