Black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma of light chocolate and roasted malt. More chocolate with a coffee kicker and a good finishing bitter. Smooth body with good carbonation. pretty solid

always love a good imperial porter .. . medium mouth feeling .. . roast level is acceptable .. . one dimensional maybe but something i’d have again .. . i gotta tip for ya! don’t eat nickels!!

On draft at CCB, pours an amber black color with aromas of roast, light cocoa, some lighf fruit, and a rouch of coffee. Flavors follow suit with an ashy and coffee bitter aftertaste.

Pours an opaque black on tap with thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma of piney resins, toasted malt, and hint of black licorice. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malts, and a bitter coffee finish. Booze is very well hidden. Very impressed with this one.

Tap at Kickbacks and later at the brewpub. Pours a deep cola brown. Medium beige foam. Weak retention. Nose is sweet cherry, Sucrets. Taste is very medicinal, woah buddy, Robitussin cherry cough syrup. I mean...couldn’t drink this.

There’s a great maltiness with this one. Sweet, rich, slight ash. this is an incredible beer.

Tap at the brewpub during RBWG 2013. Pours thick black-brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Some burnt dark malts in the nose, moderate roast. Big sweet flavor with char, dark sugars, chocolate syrup, light earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, somewhat syrupy sugars, bit of alcohol, char. Not bad.

Aroma is coffee and cherry with sourness. Color is black. Taste is cherry and toasted malt.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2013 A style I like, on tap at the brewpub. Good drinkability, winey in taste and mouthfeel. Tasty and solid. Black with ghost lace.
