| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark amber with a tanned head. Sweet notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate and dried candied fruit. The richness of the malts are a little too much. The finish is sweet malty. I agree with TimE regarding the overall balance. I’ve found this with other Pink Elephant beers as well. It’s not that bad by any means but could really be outstanding with a few teaks. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2009 Medium amber color with apricots and toffee in the nose. The mouth shows dark fruit, christmas cake, toffee, but is a touch sour and a bit unbalanced. Great depth however, and this beer would go amazing with Christmas cake. gam (1128), brisbane, Australia

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear, dark copper colour with a decent white head that doesn’t last too long. Nose has a distinct toffee apple aroma with a bit of sugar and spice in the background. Flavour is quite zesty with hints of malt, caramel, citrus, cola, cinnamon and other spices. Alcohol is very well hidden. Mouthfeel is a little thin but aside from that this is a really nice beer that is very easy to drink. bluevegie (2233), Perth, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Browny red body, almost clear, with a lacklustre head. Sweet malt aroma which is only slightly less so in the taste, caramel, low carbonation, medium body. Drinkable but unimpressive. Chrism86 (292), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Pours red/brown with a nice tan head. Nose has dark fruits with caramel malt sweetness. Palate has an abundance of caramel early before dark fruit and spice come into play. Finishes with a hint of drying spice. Great beer, very well balanced but not much of a brown ale... | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Enjoyed at Tonic bar with the appy platter. Pours a hazy brown with a lively frothy tan head that generates thick lace. Very fruity yeasty aroma with underlying sweet malts. Fruity (prunes, cherries), subtly spicy palate, slightly musty. Style wise, this seems more like an abby dubbel I think. Really very good, and I’m quite happy that I finally found it!
