kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2008 50cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Florida). Pours a cloudy, hazy golden lemon color with a thick, frothy creamy white head that gracefully laces the glass. Smells slightly sweet with citrus and ripe fruit. Taste is much of the same -- slightly sweet with bursts of lemon and other citrus flavors to the point that it is almost tart. Lively carbonation with a slightly tart, pointed finish. Nice, refreshing wheat ale. obguthr (986), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Apr 23, 2008 Well balanced aroma of lemon and wheat. Milky yellow with a thin head. Citrus and wheat notes. Lemon grass on the palate. Wheaty, good, with noticeable hops. Tasty. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 21, 2008 Hazy yellow gold pour with foamy head. Citrus, wheat and german hefe aromas. Flavor was a bit fruitier with some spice as well. Pretty soft overall for a hefe. Quack-Duck (3131), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Apr 13, 2008 bottle. Cloudy pale yellow, large head. Fruity, slightly sour, pleasantly wheaty and yeasty. A thirst-quenching and refreshing Hefeweizen. As I recall, and I am not a fan of hefeweizens, this was a lighter wheat. Flavors were that of citrus and spice. Nice head. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 2, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a small foamy head with some good lacing. Very light citrus and wheat aromas, with a hint of fruitiness. Light flavor too, though very good and smooth. A good brew, but perhaps should be called Hefe-Light. sleepylopes (313), New York, USA Apr 2, 2008 great head, nice unfilterd natural beer. notes of citron and grass with a slight spice. standard and well made. nramsburg (200), New York, New York, USA Mar 20, 2008 Pretty standard hefe weizen armoa, except that it’s very faint. Slightly citrus and maybe a hint of spice. Fairly standard, though slightly richer mouthfeel. Just not a whole lot happening with this one, which is sad because I’m a fan of the organic pils and had similarly high hopes for this one.
