yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 16, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Soft wheaty aroma. Soft and slight watery wheat flavour. Ends very mildly flavoured. faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Oct 15, 2007 Bottle at yespr’s place. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a fair white head. Aroma of wheat, banana and some citrus. Soft wheaty and hoppish flavour with some citrus and banana. Wheatish finish with slight citrus. Rather boring for a hefe weizen. Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 12, 2007 Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, tasting @ yespr] Small rocky white head that mostly diminished. Cloudy orange colour. Fair lacework. Banana, wheat, citrus, fruit. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light sweet and acidic flavour. Light sweet finish. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Oct 9, 2007 Bottled. Aroma is yeasty and has citron. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a medium, white head. Taste is slightly sweet, bit yeasty with some grassy hops and a hint of wheat. Quite light bodied. Not much taste in this one. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Sep 26, 2007 When I first opened the bottle I got a strong, sharp wheat aroma with some undertones of spice. It pours out a clear wheat yellow with a thick and fairly persistent head. Flavor is smooth but with a good bite, fairly typical of a hefe-weizen, with a whisper of citrus flavor, a little bit watery, but tingly and pleasant. A decent wheat ale. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 14, 2007 Bottle. Pours deep yellow with a lasting, fizzy, white head, spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, hay, straw), average hops (grass, herbs), average yeast (earth, barnyard) with notes of apple. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation and a chalky finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Sigmund (2197), Hafrsfjord, Norway Sep 14, 2007 500 ml bottle, bought at Real Foods, Edinburgh. ABV is 5.0%. Like all Pinkus Müller beers, it is organic. Cloudy pale yellow colour, huge white head. Strong and typical hefeweizen aroma, spicy notes of cloves and banana, hints of farmhouse and oak. Soft mouthfeel. Wheaty flavour, subdued cloves and banana, moderate sweetness. Another good hefeweizen, but not the very best. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Sep 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours a medium gold color with not much of a head for a weissbier. Some aroma of banana, clove and bubblegum but, not overwhelming. Flavor of wheat and banana somewhat subdued. Kind of bready tasting. OK but, not great.
