Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Labeled as "Pinkus Weizen Beer," and I assum that this is the right one. Small wheaty and grainy nose. Hazy dull yellow color, small head. Flavors are, again, wheat and grain, with maybe a touch of citrus and a hint of tartness, and then it’s done. Thin-medium body. Well.... it is a wheat, but not the best.

Ein angenehm weiches Weizen. Erfrischend, irgendwo zwischen leicht wässrig und nicht zu dick, durchaus süffig. Geschmacklich angenehm leichte Banane, gute Carbonisierung.

Originally rated on 9/3/08. Dont know if I am reviewing the same beer as everyone else here but my label says pinkus organic hefeweizen so here it goes. Pinkus poured a rather clear yellow body, not any usual haze. Heavy carbonation gave it a bite, but even with the thick head it didnt leave hardly any lace. Aroma was incredibly faint of banana, no flavor whatsoever. Mouthfeel was akin to any light beer, incredibly watery. This was more spritzer than beer. Will not purchase again

Nuclear orange. Overly carbonated. Aroma is citrus and bread. Taste is lemon. Not very good at all.

Hazy pale color with high white and foamy head. Aroma is yeasty, citric. Taste reminds me somehow a radler. It’s lemonade like, a bit sourish, but too weak body for me. Drinkable beer, but not a Best hefe weissen.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a 500mL bottle. Pours a nice hazy yellow, with plenty of head. No aromas of bananas! Has a great complex flavor and every way. This is my second favorite Hefe!

Turns out this is a historical beer for me. Purchased this at Total Wine while visiting my dad & when I popped the cap & looked it up on Ratebeer I realized it was brewed in my dad’s home town of Munster. Also turns put my old man remembers his old man drinking this beer. But yes yes the beer. Is it good? It’s okay. Clean Hefeweizen with muted characteristics. In fact, the usual suspects of the style -- the banana, the spicing, the slight sweetness -- are nowhere to be found. Quite dry, with a slight sour edge. Cuts though nicely on a hot Florida night but is not going to blow your hair back in any way. Still I dig the family history that it awakens.

Pours hazy orange with a small head that disappears quickly. Slightly fizzy in the glass, a little citrus and wheaty on the nose. Quite tart and wheaty to taste, not loads going on but ok.
