Nice cloudy golden honey with persistent white head and good lacing. Taste is of straw and field grasses, followed by a herb/spice bittering that diminishes the flavor considerably. Finish is actually sour. Not a lot of flavor, not enjoyable.

Aroma is of wheat grain and spices. The flavor is light banana, wheat grain and a bit of yeast. Not incredibly interesting and a bit bland, although decent overall and drinkable.

...bottle from Shep’s. Poured a slighty hazy golden yellow, with a small white head with some lacing. On the nose was wheat malt, yeast, bread, grains. Same flavors, but was a little watery and lacked the creaminess a truely good hefe needs. Finished with wheat notes, light, clean.

Botttle from Andronico’s, San Francisco. Pours murky yellow with a thin white head and a banana aroma. There is a plain wheat flavor with some carbonation and a slightly sour finish.

Hefig-kräuteriger Geruch, ungewöhnlich für ein HW. Im Antrunk hefig fast medizinal (Anis). Ab dem Mittelteil leicht säuerlich, ein bißchen wässrig, doch nicht störend. Der Abgang bietet einen etwas flachen Verlauf und könnte eine Idee intensiver ausfallen. Ein HW, das vom Geschmack her eher an ein belgisches Blond oder Tripel erinnert. A cloudy, yellow-orange pour with a white head. It has a pleasant wheat aroma with some bread and slight citrus. The light body has a thin texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet and refreshing.

Pours cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat and yeast. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
