TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jul 31, 2005 Bottle. Hazed gold with a tall fluffy white head. Nose is light wheat and citrus with Euro hoppiness and minimal bubblegum. Taste is wheat, yeast, light hops, dried banana, sweet malts and stale bubblegum. Body is light and very bubbly and a seemingly overcarbonated feel to it. Finish is a let down. Much the same as the general taste but there’s a larger cardboard or papery note about it. Light fruits, yeast and wheat with thinned Euro hops. Drinkable hefe. GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Jul 31, 2005 Aroma:banana candy....
Appearance:Hazy yellow,light head...
Flavor:Banana,wheat,lemon.... jefcon (997), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jul 3, 2005 Hazy yellow with a white head which leaves some lacing. Aromas are faint banana and some herbs. A kind of wheat, grain, white pepper, banana amalgamation makes up the flavors here, but there is little weight to the hefe. Palate is watery, light, rough and unfinished. A total disappiontment in that department. Several American hefes have preferable profiles to this one. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Jun 27, 2005 Hazy light-yellow with a large, frothy white head. Aroma is very wheaty, slightly sour, with faint hints of banana. Very wheaty flavor, tangy and bready. Light bodied with a quick, lightly watery finish. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 6, 2005 Pours hazy canary with medium white head. Aroma of hopcit, some clove/banana/bubblegum. Tastes hefey, with some cobwebby esters in the finish. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark May 26, 2005 Bottled @ KØ 2005: Light yellow coloured. Unclear. Off white head. Light smoke, light spiced, some banana and yeast in this beer. Is rather thin bodied and flavoured. Lives shorly with its vague wheatcharachters on the palate. Weak Hefe. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA May 25, 2005 Lemony-yellow pour with a three finger head. Aroma is lemon, honey, cloves and a tad of citrus. Body reiterates the aromatic notes, but in a lesser stated sense. A strange mustiness also lingers in both the aroma and body. Not the best Hefe I’ve had and not the worst. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA May 25, 2005 Bottle: Pale yellow, hazy bordering on cloudy, mediocre white foamy head, soft carbonation, decent lacing. Wheaty nose, very slight spice (citrus peel of sorts) as well. Rather thin on the tongue, not as full bodied as other wheats. Subtle wheat/barley flavors on the exit.   A touch peppery too?   Too light, not robust enough as compared to others.
