2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 5/20 grikmok (132) - Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - JUL 12, 2011
Poured into a hefeweizen. Not much of a head but there were aromas of wheat. Not a bad beer but I think the finish is too bitter for this style.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 20, 2011
Bottle.
Hazy golden with a small white head. Unfortunately weak and watery, not a typical German Hefeweizen in my opinion. Some spices, citrus and yeast.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cuso (1485) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUN 14, 2011
Bottle from Bierzerg. Hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma, bread, wheat, banana. Taste, crispy, slightly citrus, continues with wheat, banana and orange in finish. Nice weizen.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2011

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 coldbrewky (1120) - Saugerties, New York, USA - JUN 5, 2011
.5L bottle. A very cloudy and dense yellow. Thinner white head that fizzes away and is nearly gone as I quickly consume this beer. Nose of light banana with only a whisp of expected spice.....maybe organic cloves are hard to find. Thin lacing. An ephemeral metallic note distracts me. A nice welcome to summer wheat.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 tfredvik (296) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2011
I’m no hefe weizen expert, but isn’t one of the characteristics of this style a huge, long-lasting head? Not so for the Pinkus: the white head disappears within seconds, leaving a dull-looking pale yellow, hazy body, seemingly without much carbonation. Absolutely no lacing. Not a very good first impression! The aroma is a tad better, but not much: all I get are faint notes of citrus and acidic apples. Where are the banana, yeast and spices? The taste is light sweet with a sour note. Light body, thin texture, medium carbonation. Disappointing beer, very disappointing hefe wizen.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 garza (460) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - MAY 8, 2011
Cloudy yellow with white head. Citric aroma, bit sour. Watery and citric in the taste, lightly sour. Light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, short after taste. Not good.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Palme (1200) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2011
0.5l bottle. Pours a cloudy pale orange body with a small fluffy white and quickly fading head. Aroma is low with notes of hay, citrus, spices, clove and yeast. Body is quite light, texture is watery and the carbonation level is medium. Tastes mildly wheaty with notes of bitter green banana and watery grains. The whole thing ends in a way to sour and watery finish that ruins this otherwise OK ecological brew in my opinion.
