Bottle. It pours surprisingly clear, but a closer inspection reveals a layer of sediments that didn’t come loose from the bottom of the bottle. It’s yellowish orange in color, and topped by a finger-thick off-white head that soon diminishes into a thin layer of bubbles. The aroma has lemon and orange on the fruity side, with a touch of grassy hops and a cellar reminiscent yeast scent. Not much banana or cloves chiming in. It’s effervescent in the mouth, full-bodied and quite smooth, and the finish has some banana, lemon and orange. Some bitterness, both initially and in the tail. The initial flavor has a touch of something chemical, luckily it’s only a touch as it is quite gross. Banana, lemon, hints of cloves and bitterness, and some fresh hay too. Overall, not bad, but I’m glad I only bought one bottle, it’s better to spend the wheat beer money on something better. 101203

Looks great pours hazy straw yellow with a nice head. Aroma is nice fresh and subtle with strong banana notes. Slightly yeasty. Flavour is nice wheat and yeast. very refreshing. This is an excellent Hefe Weiss. It has a pleasant aftertaste that is slightly citrus and lemony. and is very drinkable. I sould handle a little more hop character. but all in all tyhis is a great beer by style in my opinion.

Light yellow beer with huge and white head. Aroma is mild, wheat, sourness and some honey. Flavour is quite sour, malts, biting wheat and hint of honey. Lot of carbonation and quite light to drink. Biting, mild and tasteless hefe; this beer not convinced me.

Pours golden with creamy white head and foamy lacing. Pleasant notes of wheat and citrus. Well balanced taste that is smooth and sessionable. Great example of a hefeweizen.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Best before 2011-12-01. It poured a very pale yellow colour with a medium big white head. Some carbonation. Aroma is floral with notes of dough, wheat and bananas. Flavour is thin and watery. Notes of citrus, bananas, pears. Some bitterness. Short aftertaste. A decent lawn mower beer, but that’s about is as well.

500ml bottle found at a Biologique store in Paris.... thus we can assume that this stuff has no non-hippie-friendly ingredients, right? I do have to say that the pour is perfect, a beautiful foggy white body with a big head. The aroma is soft wheat, very soft, a nice smell but definitely hard to discern. Taste is a perfumy mix of soft wheat and sweet grain notes. Wet finish. All right, not great.

500 ml bottle. Dim golden body with a huge white head. Strong aroma of citrus and banana. Flavor is fresh banana fruity, moderate wheat and soma acidity. Quite light and refreshing. Nice thirst-quencher.
