Medium white head. Hazy yellow body. Floral fruity milky aroma with banana bubblegum notes. Sweetish-dry mealy yoghurty banana taste with floral notes. Mid-bodied. Mealy, soft mouthfeel. Dryish-acidic mealy papery floral aftertaste with apple and soft metal notes. Nice, drinkable, and not terribly complex. Good on a hot day. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Alnasenteret.)

Hazy yellow. Not a lot of wheat beer aroma and not much bubblegum or banana in the flavor either. A bit tame for a wheat beer, though drinkable.

Tall bottle from natural food supermarket in Amsterdam. Yellow banana body with huge, foamy head. Nose of fruits, citrus and faint bananas. Taste of barley, sweet, fruits and notes of bananas. Okay but taste a bit too subdued for me.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Enjoyed from a 16.9oz bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a hazy medium yellow color, with a surprisingly (for the style) small and thin head. The nose also is a bit different, as it shows characteristics far more akin to German pilsner than German hefeweizen. A slight pilsner-derived graininess, followed by a more powerful Munich note. Interesting, but noticeably lacking the yeast presence that should be a hallmark of the style. The palate continues in this vein, carrying flavorful German malt notes, but lacking the basic components of the style. Again, strong Munich. The finish leaves a lingering note of the aforesaid. Overall, certainly a pleasant beer, but off-style, and therefore unable to be considered a standout.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 FatPhil (5973) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 19, 2010
500ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Koelsch Weeks 2010)
Pale for a hefe. Sharp, almost acidic aroma - not so promising. Palate more like a carbonated drink. Very thin taste - minerally. Disappointing, waatery, and hard water at that.
