Dirty , cloudy, orange color. Aroma of malt with hint of cloves and some yeast. Moderate sweetness, dry finish. Medium body , average carbonation. Not bad , though a little bit strange hefeweizen.

From a bottle into a Mad Elf tulip glass. Pours yellow with small head and lace. Aroma of light malts, fresh bread dough, banana. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of light malts, wheat, grains, minerals, citrus zest. slight banana. Overall refreshing and tasty yet a tad light on body.

Bottle. A- Wheat, lemon, soft. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, subtle banana, lemon. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, light finish. O- Pretty bland. There is wheat, lemon, and some banana, and it’s boring.

Surprised to see this rated so low as it was one of my favorite beers from my entire time in Berlin. From the bottle so can’t comment on appearance. Sweet, but not overly so, a little bit of banana/clove but not a ton. Fairly full bodied for a hefe, I thought. Nice beer.

Bottle from Bear Cafe, Todmorden. Dishwater yellow coloured with a small head. Stated enough, but quite light in its character carrying some nose and some pale malt fruitiness.

Bottle from Masuyo’s. Drank straight from the bottle. Not really much hefeweizen nose to speak of. A slight bit of clove I guess, but not really much banana. Kind of grainy and malty taste with the yeast there as well. Slightly sweet but not overly so. A touch of sourness. Just not that impressive.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2015 500 ml bottle. Organic Hefeweizen from Whole Foods. A subtle yet distinct light wheat flavor pervades, free of the usual wheat beer spices. On the drier side, but does have some sweetness. As the flavor advances yeast begins with a light, grassy and hay like presence at the very end. Good carbonation. An extremely smooth, refreshing and somewhat subdued Hefeweizen. Unique.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow reminiscent of fresh lemon juice and a big fluffy head. Aromas are faint - wheat, yeastiness, biscuit and a touch of citrus. It's definitely lacking some basic hefeweizen characteristics.
