However, it also had that distinct earthy odor that organic beers, in my opinion, seem to have. I could also taste it too. Decent, but there are much better ones out there. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2002 Kind of nice, but low on flavour, theres no real yeasty banana flavour, which i tend to associate with a German wheat. Theres a bit of citrus spritzyness, and a slightly fruity finish (grapes or something). Refrshing and pleasant without being anything that stands out. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

bread/grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with a note of lemon/lime zest. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This obviously doesn’t use the usual Bavarian weissbier yeast strain, since it lacks the typical banana/clove notes. It does have that tart, wheaty character, but you can’t really compare this to the likes of Weihenstephaner. For what it is, though, it’s enjoyable. bhensonb (4406), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2007 Light lemony aroma, definitely banana, and perhaps a bit of yeast. Hazy gold color and a white head that laces a bit in its own small way. Medium mouthfeel that thins, light lemon, a bit of musty yeast, and then towards the finish a bare hint of banana. Actually maybe less than that. Very, very light bitter in the finish. Very refreshing. It would be a great beer to have around the pool. Something of a summer thing. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2003 Spicy, hoppy aroma. Flavor is a bit muddy--vague hints of wheat, totally lacking in crispness. Vaguely phenolic, totally blah. Suttree (2752), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Clean and full bodied, with some mild fruityness and touch of savory. Maybe a bit too watery, but overall subtle and well made. presario (3010), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Just finished an Erdinger and this is no where as nice nor smooth. A touch astringent. Noticeable yeast touch. A bit of a refreshing quality but there are many nicer examples. beastdog75 (337), Brick, New Jersey, USA
