burpfrank (289), carpinteria, California, USA Jun 23, 2007 This had a weak arpma of grass.average head.Cloudy dark gold beer.looked like a good wheat beer. The taste was of sour wheat.sticky palate. It’s certified organic,so I guess it’s good for you.For this to be a great wheat beer it shouldn’t be so sour.I would call this an average wheat beer.I taste the leon and maybe a tad of honey, but guys!,I think you are reaching if you taste bananas.Well,maybe.If I get more buzed I’m sure I’ll taste bananas!!
lumpsowers (87), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Sep 29, 2008 Beautiful pour, cloudy amber-straw, thick foamy head, with significant lacing. Sweet, floral aroma, the hops are cinnamon, sweet, some nutmeg and grape citrus flavor. Thick mouthfeel for a wheat, why doesn’t this brew have a higher rating? I liked this beer a lot. Gypsy19 (219), AMERICA RISING, USA Sep 29, 2008 A decent, though by no means great hefeweizen. Little carbonation or head, and very little in the flavor department. Some subtle wheat, citrus, and pineapple characters are present, but that’s about it. Boring.
dkachur (900), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 500 mL bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Downtown Charlottesville. Lemon-orange pour, hazy, with a huge head. Moderate retention and lacing. Aroma of candied citrus, spice and banana. Taste is citrus, bread, banana, cotton candy, wheat, grain. On the sweeter side. Thin body. heavy (503), Split, Croatia Sep 23, 2008 0.5 l bottle shared with a friend who brought from Köln, thanks Toni. It poured murky golden body, lighter in color than most of Hefeweizens. Bigger head. Typical estery aroma, banana, some orange, cloves, quite nice. Flavor is a bit watery, but pleasantly sweet wheat malty with that fruity notes of yeast. Finish lasts for a short period but follows beer’s pleasant flavor. OK, pleasant but nothing particularly good, pretty lower average Hefeweizen. ucusty (1215), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 17, 2008 Hazy yellow pour with white head and drippy lace. Bubblegum and banana aroma. Similar flavor with some hints of clove.
