Bottle in Weizen glass. Pours pale yellow and opaque with little to no head. Citrusy, off flavors, thin, and uneventful.

pours dirty grey-yellowish with a small creamy off-white head, some retention and lacing. very yeasty - peppery and slightly moldy, very spicy too - coriander notes, wheat, hint of corn and grape juice, faint phenolic esters, grass. moderate carboantion, light body - slightly watery, dry herbal-grassy-spicy finish. meh. bartlebier (1196) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - APR 1, 2014
UPDATED: APR 2, 2014 50cl bottle, (Bio)Marktladen FR-Rieselfeld - BB08/2014. Pours a very milky, hazy green-yellow with soft head. Not much of a nose, at most subdued fruitiness. Taste is atypically hop-forward grassy spiciness for a Hefeweizen, probably due to Tettnanger and a wheat/barley malt profile that has much in common with their likewise atypical Alt/Kölsch crossover. Fruity notes of apple juice and summer peaches, with especially the green apple and milky (whey) fruitiness components reminiscent of a Belgian wit, save the yeast profile. All aromas remain faint, on a dryish, slightly adhesive palate. Light-bodied and thirst-quenching in hot weather, but unlikely to impress within the style range of Hefeweizen. Pinkus seems to specialise in unintended style crossovers...

Hazy straw with nice white head. Light yeast, malts, some lemon and spices but all quite light. Nice fresh tart with hint of sweetness. Medium bodied, light watery feel. Subtle but I like it a lot. Great on hot days.

The beer starts sweet, slightly citrus-sourish. Slightly yeasty. The mainpart is very refreshing, slightly sourish, slightly yeasty but nearly no typical Weizen-aroma. The aftertaste is long, refreshing sour-yeasty, slightly bitter.
Very interesting, but not Weizen-typical! --> 10/12/10/10

500 ml bottle in Coconut Creek, FL. This did not travel well from Germany. It had some damage and maybe infected. Pours a cloudy gold with a full white head. Aroma was cloves and bananas. Taste was a sour version of the aroma. Palate was a bit harsh. I will have to try this in Germany.

Average but not great. Hazy banana pour. Average aroma, average taste. Might be the organics, maybe not.

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. Drukket i heimen 6 Jun 13. Lys aprikosfarget. Litt uklar. Middels skum som flater raskt ut og blir borte. Litt lacing. Beskjeden fruktaroma. Smaken er banan og blir litt for søt.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a thick white head. Smells organic; yeasty malt, faint clove and other phenols. Kind of grassy and herbal, in both aroma and taste, as opposed to other German hefe’s. Nicely balanced. Mouth feel is light and spritzy. A little thin for a Hefeweizen, but nonetheless good but not great, overall.

500ml bottle given to me by the wife for Valentines Day. Pours a hazy straw color with a finger of frothy white head. Aroma of lemons, banana, and wheat. Taste of sweet citrus, sour lemons, wheat, banana, and yeast.
