Made of organic country malt, top-fermenting yeast, natural hops and first-class brewing water in long-proven brewing procedure, strictly after the German purity requirement.

Bought on a whim at Consumers. Pours an opaque amber, light head. Overall an enjoyable beer, not blowing me away though.

I poured this into a stange. For the appearance, it left a nice foamy concaved semi-laced head and left a good amount of nice white lacing. For an altbier, it sure does look a super light yellow color. The smell had a good German maltiness running about some super light bitter hops. The taste was mostly German maltiness with a nice slightly bitter hoppy background as it warms. On the palate, this one sits for the most part semi-light and ended up having a decent carbonation running about its body. Overall, a weird altbier as I’d almost want to call it a heavier German Pilsener, but okay still a good beer for the most part and worthy of having again.

pours hazy light yellow with a small white cap showing a poor retention and no lacing per say. honeyed pale malts, cereals, bland grassiness, faint fruitiness - some grape juice, unfortunately some cardboard and other oxidized molecules. moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry herbal-grassy finish.

Bottle 500ml. Pours blond with very low white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of malt, cardboard, fruits, slight burnt plastic. Taste is of malt, some bitterness, slight acidity, minerals. Palate: Light-medium body. Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Bof. Not much to say. Not refreshing. Oxydized. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a pale straw color woth a fair head. Aroma of citrus, herbal with bit of spice. Taste of citrus , mild malt sweetness and herbal. Mild bitterness and a bland finish. Light body with a grainy feel. Reminds me more of a Kolsch than an Alt. All in all not abad beer.

Bottle. Pours in clear yellow, with fast fading whtite head. Aromas of bananas and fruits. Taste is surprisingly sweet for a Alt with a sour aftertaste. Palate is fresh fresh and fizzy, thin mouth feeling, slightly bitter finish, which is rather short.

Bottle @ home.

From bottle. Pours a very clean gold in glass. Zippy. Smell has some banana right after pour. Sweet malts. Cloves. Taste is similar. Crisp apple notes. Faint honey sweetness. Dry on the palate. Easy drinking.

Nothing like an Alt in my experience. +++ Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy very pale yellow color with a huge creamy-soapy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and tart citric acid. The flavor was tangy and tart lemon, a bit of perfume and a touch of bread dough. Long tangy and tart lemon finish. Light body. Very disappointing.
