3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light, clear gold with a tall, but quick white head.
Perfume, lemon aroma.
Taste is sweet grain, tart green banana, acidic light fruit...bright.
Different..qualities of a pale lager and a witbier in one.

I’ve never had an Alt like this one. That’s not a compliment. This brew looked pale rather than having the lovely copper-amber shade that I associate with the style. Really, it looked more like a Lager than an Alt. The cereal grain aromas reminded me of one, too. I was also reminded of a Lager (a bad one, I should say) when I tasted it. Thin-bodied, light on flavor... just not very satisfying. As it warms, the flavor gets even worse; it takes on a skunky taste. Kudos to this beer for being organic (I guess) but when a beer sucks this hard I don’t care how it’s made.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A- Malts, cereal, hay, bread.
A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Malty, cereal, wheat, subtle banana, subtle spice.
P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish.
O- Tasted a lot like a pale lager blended with a very subtle amount of a wheat beer. Not really anything to get excited about with this one. Just a let down in all aspects.

Wob cap. .bottle. Clear gold. Toasty malt aroma. Slightly corny, bready, and malt flavored moderate bitter beer. Clean tasting lager like. I understand it’s not the northern German alt style so it’s not as caramel and brown colored. Tastes very much like a Munich helles. Clean easy drinking malt forward, slightly fruity and spiced but mostly lager like. Slight grainy sweetness persists. Wouldn’t necessarily reach for this again, unless maybe in Germany.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bought on a whim at Consumers. Pours an opaque amber, light head. Overall an enjoyable beer, not blowing me away though.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I poured this into a stange.
For the appearance, it left a nice foamy concaved semi-laced head and left a good amount of nice white lacing. For an altbier, it sure does look a super light yellow color.
The smell had a good German maltiness running about some super light bitter hops.
The taste was mostly German maltiness with a nice slightly bitter hoppy background as it warms.
On the palate, this one sits for the most part semi-light and ended up having a decent carbonation running about its body.
Overall, a weird altbier as I’d almost want to call it a heavier German Pilsener, but okay still a good beer for the most part and worthy of having again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
pours hazy light yellow with a small white cap showing a poor retention and no lacing per say. honeyed pale malts, cereals, bland grassiness, faint fruitiness - some grape juice, unfortunately some cardboard and other oxidized molecules. moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry herbal-grassy finish.

Pours blond with very low white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of malt, cardboard, fruits, slight burnt plastic. Taste is of malt, some bitterness, slight acidity, minerals. Palate: Light-medium body. Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Bof. Not much to say. Not refreshing. Oxydized. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a pale straw color woth a fair head. Aroma of citrus, herbal with bit of spice. Taste of citrus , mild malt sweetness and herbal. Mild bitterness and a bland finish. Light body with a grainy feel. Reminds me more of a Kolsch than an Alt. All in all not abad beer.
