Poured from a bottle into a footed pilsner glass. Appearance is semi hazy gold/yellow with a thick white head of foam that dissipates at a fairly moderate rate. Little or no lacing left behind. Aroma is sweet and grainy, reminiscent of a kolsch. I detect a bit of orange in here as well. Taste is somewhat briny and orangy, with a slightly sweet overall presence. Grainy notes come through in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium in density with a spritzy presence on the tongue.

Bottle. Fresh pear/apple juice aroma. Opaque yellow/orange in colour with a very small white head. Pepper, bread, and pear/apple flavours with an underlying malt baseline. Medium body. Light bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. BB 04/2017. From a trade with Erzengel. Thanks!
Clear golden color with a foamy mid-size white head. Dry grainy malt and paper dryness in the aroma. Grassy hops and dry grainy malt in the flavor. A bit unpleasant.

Tap@PinkusMüller. Pours clear golden with tall fading white head. Aroma is light malt, straw and dusty hints. Taste is light malty and quite bitter with a dusty taste of straw. Finish is bitter.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, 09010N6 bottle code. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread, pepper, light lemon/pear, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, white bread, pepper, light lemon/pear, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, white bread, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a very good beer. This did not resemble an Altbier style at all; but was nearly spot on to a German Pilsner or Kolsch style. Very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; and was very enjoyable as such.

500 ml bottle from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a clear golden colour with moderate-sized white head. Aroma is sweetish bready grains and straw. Flavour is modestly sweet bready malt with some dry straw character. Average body. Fine but forgettable.

A very sweet and bready brew, lots of green grainy flavor. The carbonation is tight and fizzy. I’m not the biggest fan of this. That unripe, green and grassy flavor is a little off putting. It’s fine but I won’t buy it again.

Bottle (from biomarket). Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet, grainy, malty with some vegetables. Flavor is sweet and bitter, grains, malt, some vegetables, slight fruitiness and some metallic notes (which disappear after it warms up). Finish has slight dry bitterness with graininess and malt. Carbonation is high. Overall: different than my previous (limited) experiences with this style, this is very pale lagerish. Still, it’s not that bad, I can session this.

Good, clear beer. Head diminishes fast. Nice bite, herbal(?), metallic but tasty mouthfeel. Not a beer to drink all evening, but one can drink it almost every evening.

This beer is cloudy gold colour with a big white head and nice lacing. It’s a dry hoppy beer with breadiness and ends with a lingering bitterness. I’d have it again.
