Bottled sample. Light gold in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas of fat pilsner malts, and lemony/grassy hops. Flavors of sweet pale malts, wet stones, French bread, and a bit of grassy hops. Medium bodied, with some moderate bitterness. Could be dryer. Average at best.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 douglas88 (3483) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - OCT 2, 2008
Bottle from the Utah State Store. Pours a golden hue with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is full of malts, some floral hops and grass too. The flavor is pretty good; smooth and rich malts mostly, also, some dry yeast cider-like flavors. A touch of hops and a generally smooth and watery body. Very nice and quaffable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 TURDFERGUSON (2482) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - SEP 4, 2008
Bottle from Sam’s. Finally getting around to trying this classic. Pours a somewhat cloudy golden yellow with a nice white head and great carbonation. Nose is biscuit malts with a very mild hop profile. Easy drinking with flavors of grassy hops, plain crackers, and a mild sweetness. A fine beer, and what I expected, if not too interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (3294) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2008
Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige/yellow color pils with a good size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of malt with a light floral profile and some crisp dry hops are also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some floral malt with some distinctive hops from Plzen. Full body with some great carbonation. I thought it may have been a bit too grainy but it was still very enjoyable.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jezmez68 (358) - Chesterton, Indiana, USA - AUG 22, 2008
Ummmm...okay. I know this is unfiltered, but if you put a glass of this side by side with a Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat (which I did), you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. No Fruity Pebble smell here, but this really came off more like a wheat beer than a pils. Cloudy. Almost a citrus aftertaste. I’m wondering if they didn’t put the wrong label on a bottle of wheat beer...
