3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (5885) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 15, 2007
Decent pils, higher carbonation. Not too watery. Not best example of style, yet not offensive.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - JUL 26, 2007
0.33 l bottle, 5.0 %. Mine was not cloudy and it was definately pils, not ur-pils, so I’m pretty sure there is a mixup in Pinkus products. Anyway, clear pils with crispy nose. Fresh flavor with medium grassy hoppiness and malts, no aftertaste really. Very straightforward pils and a pretty good one. Good balance. It’s nice that there is a bio product that doesn’t taste overly bio as they often do.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 lb4lb (2021) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 16, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2007 Cloudy yellow, similar to a hefeweizen. Little bit of white head that doesn’t last too long. Smell is mostly of the yeast which is much like a mild hefeweizen light spiced smelling yeast. Taste is some spiced yeast, a touch of malt, and almost no bitterness. I guess I prefer my beer non-organic because this isn’t doing much for me. This does not taste like a pilsner to me. Tastes more like an American wheat. Not what I was expecting and not something I care for, although it is drinkable. I can’t see ever having the opportunity to drink this for free anywhere, so I probably won’t be having this beer again. Nothing special.

500ml bottle - Pours hazy gold with a moderate head. The aroma has yeast, mild malt, and some light floral hops. Flavor is mild hops, sweet malts, and yeast with a medium body and a soft mouthfeel. This brew is easy drinking and refreshing yet flavorful, a good pilsener.

500ml bottle Golden pour with small dying white head. Aroma of light hops. Flavor is very earthy with grassy hops. Smooth, but bready.

500 mL. Slightly cloudy, golden-yellow with large and lasting head. Aroma is cooked corn and honey. Flavor is lemon-honey and corn, with some slight herb-grassy hops. Palate is smooth and medium-bodied. A malty sweet smooth beer, and I like the lesser amount of Saaz in this one.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - JUN 21, 2007
Pours a clear light gold with a white head and moderate lacing. Nose of light malts and hops. Mouthfeel is somewhat rich and goes down smoothly. Favor is somewhat grassy, and the finish is slightly bitter. A classic pils indeed. Quite tasty.
