Bottle. Pours bright yellow with some haze and a large white head. The aroma is cookies, some hay-like Saaz notes, and a little bit of orange. The flavor is very grainy with some sweet bready qualities and a very mild earthy bitterness throughout. It has a semi-sweet finish and a distant floral aftertaste. Pretty good for what it is.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 presario (3977) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 30, 2006
Realized that I had not rated it after it was gone from the shelves. Then I found a single much shaken bottle this week. Yeast is very present but I left 95% of the floaties in the bottle for the rating. Pale yellow with a persistent thin white covering. Soft hop nose with scents of bread and young grass. Flavour is a little too sweet. Noticeable light hops and a sour bitterness in the finish. Not sure if the sourness is due to the questionable nature of the bottle.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (3759) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 27, 2006
Cloudy pale gold (I was surprised that this was unfiltered), with a thick white head. Nice rich, bready aroma. Flavor is also bready, with a definate yeast note. Understated, but enjoyable.
