Picked this up at campsite where we were staying at in Munster, Germany 20-06-10 Pours gold with a white head, crystal clear medium carbonation. Soft at first but there is a steady bitterness, clean & crisp as you would expect but most enjoyable. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle. Pours hazy straw yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is grainy, grass, yeast. Mouthfeel is light, and grainy. Flavor has spicy herbal hops, hay, a bit of muddy malt towards the finish. Decent stuff, put the concept of an unfiltered Pilsner bothered me, and lacked the satisfaction of clean crispness in the best pilsners.

Ur Pils--Organic--1999 16.9 oz. Bottle. 5.20% ABV. (4.25 / 5.0) Light straw golden color clear but with lively suspended particulates. Rich head. Crisp light floral hop aroma followed by clean rich tasty malt profile. Body is crisp but thick and finishes clean. Sampled 3/24/1999. Ur-Pils--Organic- Bottle--2000 16.9 oz. Bottle. 5.20% ABV. (3.0 / 5.0) Light hazy straw golden color. Light hop front with yeasty fruity body that develops some pils lager notes in middle. Different wheat like taste. Finishes clean mild and refreshing. Sampled 7/22/2000. Ur Pils--Organic--Tall-- oz.--2001 16.1 oz. Bottle. 5.20% ABV. (3.5 / 5.0) Unfiltered richly hazy lemon golden color. Yeasty mild Saaz hop floral front. Tangy medium light crisp pilsner body with Hefe accents. Balanced mild citrusy hop spice finish. Unigue pils is tasty but odd. Sampled 5/18/2001.

500ml bottle. Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a bright and creamy white head. Aroma has a sweet, bready, malt backbone, and grassy citrus hops character. Taste is sharp grassy malt that fades to a satisfying hop finish. Mouthfeel is light with a crisp carbonation.

500 ml bottle, Whole Foods in Coral Springs, Florida. Pour is hazy yellow golden with a two inch white head that falls quick. Nice unfiltered look. Aroma is mildly sweet cereal grain malt, along with some straw and gentle hay earthiness. Taste is the nose, softly fruit sweet cereal grain balanced nicely with a clove yeastiness and the straw earthiness. Finish crisp and clean. The palate is thin to medium bodied, pleasingly unfiltered with nice bubbly carbonation. Nice soft and natural Pils - I am a sucker for unfiltered Pils.

Pours hazy straw-golden into the glass, with tons of yeasty "floaties" and a retentive white froth head that leaves soapy lace. The nose has notes of hay, sour grains, sourdough and light cereal with vegetal/herbal touches. Flavors, with a touch of citric acid, have lots of yeast, sourdough and hay/grains. The finish is yeasty sour, with lightly intermingling bitters. The texture is light (just shy of watery) with a medium body and active carbonation levels. This pils does indeed have substance, which is a credit to the brewer (and my personal preference). Decent pilsener for a style that is usually one of my least faves. Would have as a session, no problem.

500 mL bottle, labeled Ur Pils. Pours translucent gold with a quickly receding white head. Bready pilsner malts abound in the aroma, lemon and rather mineral-like. Obviously, bready pilsner malts in the flavor. The mineral-like quality is present and gives this brew a nice, clean feel to it. A honey-like sweetness is present. Finishes with a touch of lemon pepper (assuming it’s from the Saaz hops). Light bodied with a fuzzy mouthfeel and a mid-high level of carbonation. Exceptionally drinkable. Not mind blowing, but it is quite tasty.

Bottle. Clear, golden body with a frothy, white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, hay, bread, cereal and toasted grain with hints of flowers and vegetables. Slightly skunky. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly sour, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, waterty texture turning sticky in the finish, lively carbonation. Relatively hefty pils with the malts being more forward than the hops. Less bitterness in the finish than other pilseners. Nice enough, but nothing exciting.
