Tasted from tall brown bottle into a lager glass. It poured a nice hazy golden colour with fluffy but short-lived white foam and a little lace. Great pilsener malt aromas: distinct husky graininess, faint vanilla, resiny noble hops, hints of active yeast and rising bread dough. Better than average pilsener flavor, subtle sweetness and graininess, with a stronger than expected tangy hops bitterness. Pleasant mineral water essence and chalky mouthfeel from the suspended yeast. A very tasty, easy-drinking yet complex, well-crafted beer. Went splendidly with spicy chicken enchiladas and rice.

500 ml bottle from Whole Foods. Poured a hazy yellow/gold with a small white head. Thin lacing. Aroma is sweet grains, spiced hops and grass. Taste of sweet biscuit malt with lemon and apple overtones and mild hops bitterness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Fairly crisp. Pleasant, easy drinking.

(Pinkus Pils) Bottle 500 ml from local Ekoplaza, served into a glass tankard, ABV 5% Golden yellow colour on the body, crystal clear, with light activity in it. Tall white head, soapy, with good retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma of mals, grass, dirt, hay. Tastes the same, some grass, bready malts, dirt, straw. Medium thin body with average carbonation. Nothing special.

Bottled 500ml. -from Rudat Dortmund. I’ve spent last few years chasing for Pinkus Müller beers and now when I finally found them all three are just average (Original, Hefe Weizen and Pils). Pitty. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild grainy nose. Sweetish malty, touch of grain and caramel with notes of hops in the finish. In one word...boring.

Cloudy gold pour with a one finger chunky off white head. Aroma is cereal bread, spicy hops, light floral hops and some cooked apples. Flavor is toast sweet cereal, cooked apples, toasted flour, light oxidization floral hops and some weird fruity notes that definitely don’t work well. Light to medium body, creamy to syrupy entry, light to medium, blanketing and sharp carbonation and drier, chalkier, but creamy and kinda gloopy finish, it sounds weird but it kinda works here. Weird stuff, not all bad, but weird, and really fruity for a pils.

Münster visit - Pinkus brewpub tasting. In a tall flute glass. Classic and good pils but nothing to write home about, as they say.

Poured a hazed yellow/gold colour with a thin white head that left thin lacing. Aroma is sweet grains, spiced hops and grass. Flavor is lemon, sweet biscuit malt, and bitter herbal hops. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Low bitterness on a sweet finish. Fairly crisp, otherwise.

Aroma: Skunky aromas with sweet malty edges. Appearance: Cloudy gold with rich white head. Taste: Medium sweetness straight through. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, sweet finish. Overall: A bit too sweet and saccharine for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a yellow that is a bit cloudy, with a medium, bubbly, though rapidly receding head. The aroma contains grain, wheat, grass, and is slightly metallic. The taste is solidly in favor of corn and grain. There is some wheat flavors, along with some lemon. Some spicy hints are found as well. Short aftertaste of wheat. Lighter in body, more thin in texture than anything else, but with a fair amount of carbonation. This one isn’t for me.
