Meh, a beer that didn’t inspire me to write anything special about it but I drank it so I wanted to rate it. Average Pils style, grassy, yellow in color, more malt than normal. You know all this. Decent and conforming to style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a bright hazy gold with a high, creamy, mixed-grained, lacy white head. Nose is bright and lemony with spritzy, spicy overtones; honey and cardamom predominant. Very clean and refreshing; honey and spice forward, with a very substantial and full flavor for a pilsner. A little sweeter than Czech pils. Finish is long, round, warm, and spicy. This is a really good beer, and just has so much going on with it; complex, full-bodied, and emphatically well-structured.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.5 L from tap. Pours clear yellow with a white head, not much lasting but good lacing. Light malty aroma. Medium malty taste, a bit sweetness, light to medium bitterness. Well carbonated, light bodied. Slightly metallic, astringent aftertaste. A good pilsener, more hopped than the average.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very cloudy, pale golden yellow color with a 2.5 finger pillowy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic streaked of spotty lacing left behind.
Earthy, floral hop aroma with hints of grass, straw, light fruit and pale malts. Nice balance of hops and malt with some apple, pear, bread and biscuit countering the grassy pine notes.
Full bodied for the style with a crisp earthy hop bite that lingers over the pale malt, bready yeast and light fruit notes into a slightly dry finish. Floral with resinous, grassy pine notes along with straw, hay, bread and pilsner malts. Slightly metallic in the finish but this beer us refreshing, decently balanced and easy to drink.

Supervaalea väri, semiok vaahto joka häipyy kohtuu noipeaan. Raikas tuoksu, raikkaahko hapokas maku, vetisyyttä toki mutta ei häiritse. Janojuomana hyvä.

500 ml bottle from notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pilsner malts, grass, biscuity malts, herbal hops, a light spicy character, finishes soft, just ok.

I know a lot of Pilsener, but I don’t know anything else to compare with Pinkus Pils. Doesn’t mean that this Pilsener is the best of the world or even good, it means Pinkus Pilsener is extraordinary. Definitely. The special one. I like also the green label und the fact that it’s from Muenster - and I buy it here in Nuremberg, which seems a little bit strange to me. Enjoy!
