2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ungstrup (22906) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 17, 2003
Very light malty aroma with notes of grains and yeast. The color is a slightly hazy dark yellow and it has a fantastic head - very lively. The flavor is malty sweet with notes of bread, straws, aroma hops, and yeast. The end is hoppy and very bitter - especially for a pilsener - it ends on a lemony sourness with oils from hops lingering on the tongue. The flavor is very complex - especially for a pilsener - but the compostition is not great on my tastebuds - to sour an end, and too weak a body.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Alc is 5% ABV in my version. Pilsner-beer from Münster’s organic brewery. Golden and unfiltered with a rather stable head. Primarily just quite bitter - too bitter for my taste. 120104

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden, brief head. Grassy nose. Spicy lively mouthfeel. Fruity like an ale, notes of soap and apples. Medium bitterness. Not very pilsnerish at all, but rather interesting nevertheless.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MiP (11255) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2005
Bottle (5%). Slight hop aroma, flowery and malty. Clear golden colour. Small unstable white head. The flavour is nicely flowery, a little sweet for a pils. Reminds me more of a flowery ale than a pils. Bitterness is slightly below average.
