Gorgeous pour from bottle. A clear golden straw color with plenty of fluffy, creamy head. Aroma of toasted grain, cereal, mild citrus, and a bit of a spicy hop. Taste of sweet malt, light fruit, and some herbal hop on the end. Very light and refreshing, but lacking on the crisp finish that I expect from a great German pils. I do really like this beer, but I might grab some other pilseners first.

Bottle from Ekoplaza supermarket Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 09.07.2016. Pour it clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma nice grainy feel. Taste of bread, malty feel, nice pleasant easy drinkable beer, finish pinch of bitter German hops. Really surprised with this one actually. Nice one!

500 ml bottle. BB 01/2017. From a trade with Erzengel. Danke schön!
Slightly cloudy straw yellow color with a tiny white head. Dry grainy and hay malt, mild grassy hops and some hints of sourness in the aroma. The flavor is grassy bitterness, some rubbery notes, dry maltiness, hay and grainy dryness. Not bad. A thirst-quencher.

Bottle from a bottle shop in Germany. Light herbal hops and some bready malts. Similar taste. It has a slight metallic touch that is a bit disturbing. Besides that drinkable.

500 ml bottle from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with average-sized white head. Aroma is honeyed biscuit, hint of lemon and a bit of spiciness/grassiness. Flavour has doughy biscuit, a little honey, very light lemon zest and a sharpish grassy note. Relatively active carbonation. Solid beer.

Bottle courtesy of Hermann. Light yellowy gold with a cloudy haze. Soft mouthfeel, with a nice prickly spicy hop bitterness poking through. Not especially dry or super bitter. Better than the Special, that’s for sure.
