Pours a beautiful unfiltered straw yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is toasty, biscuity, with a big floral grassy hop character. Body is med-lt. The flavors are grassy with sweet malts that leave the mouth as easily as they enter. It finishes quite dry. Entirely refreshing and delicious. Excellent Geman Pils.

Bottle at Berlin Bar. High fluffy and lasting white head. hazy light yellow body. Mild dusty malt lemon aroma. Highly carbonated malt lemon flavor with little hops bitterness but with a long acidic finish. Better than expected.

Very light in body, flavor and aroma. I’m starting to think that a lot of these central European pilseners would be a lot better fresh, because I’m pretty sure this bottle has been on the shelf for at least 6 months and the hop profile has surely faded. Anyway, it’s a good thirst quencher with some mild, grassy hops.

Countbeer (4311) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 11, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium sized fluffy white foamy head on top of a clear lemon yellow colored beer. Aromas of hops, herbs, vanilla, some yellow fruit, some flowers, soap and a hint of malts. Flavours of herbs, cream, bitters, vanilla, yellow fruit, some flowers, light malts, some yeast and some crispy plants. Aftertaste is herbal, yellow fruity, light bitter, light malty and some flowers. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, low to medium bodied and a light creamy texture. Wow, very nice, crispy, fruity, bitter, balanced!

Patrickctenchi (3441) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle: Pours slightly hazy yellow-gold with a very tall white head. Strong lemon, grain aroma. Taste is slightly grassy, lemon...a little bitter, but well balanced. Very tasty....a nicely done pilsner.

Vaiz (3283) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle at home. Clear golden pour. Aroma of slightly spicy floral hops, quite crispy and some grains. Flavor is mild bitter, simple but clean pilsener with just a bit above average hops. Nice and refreshing on a sunny day, although nothing special.

DATE TASTED: May 1, 2014... GLASSWARE: Weihenstaphaner pilsner... OCCASION: a 78-degree day begging for a pilsner!... APPEARANCE: cloudy, hazy; almost appears unfiltered and murky golden; thick white head recedes swiftly; zero lacing as well... AROMA: fragrant hops suggest lilac and heavy bubblegum; a bit of honey too... PALATE: smooth, mellow, and slightly fizzy at the teeth; extremely drinkable and thirst-quenching...TASTE: rather subdued, suppressed lemon-grass spritz; some doughy malts arrive late--not as clear in its profile as expected... OVERALL: a surprisingly soft, unsubstantially flavored pilsner from a place I expect pilsners to fall like leaves; not sure the organic element has much to do with the look or taste, but the smoothness offsets the weak profile slightly...not sure what to make of this one in the end.

Japalo (1115) - DENMARK - JUN 6, 2014
Bottle@Hamborg courtesy of Isabella. Faint cereal notes. Some Nobel hops in the nose as well. Bone dry. Short finish. Very light easy to drink. Not much flavour to bother your Brain with ;)

BLADT (499) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Lemony yellow in glass. Mild haze. Good white hear. Grass, light a grain and some pepper on the nose. Fairly basic. Very clean flavor. Resinous. Some bitterness at the end. Quick hits of sweet-ish malts in the middle. Very classic pils tastes. More flavorful than the tame nose suggests. Lively carbonation. Enjoyable.

Bottle as it was my only non rated beer in cheese store and no time to go elsewhere. Pours straw colored with big puffy head. Nose is grassy and lemon. Tastes similar of grass, lemons, bready, herbal, hint of cardboard. Light and crisp. Fine pils
