Sample bottle for review. Pours a bright, if a little hazy, yellow pils color. Lots of bubbles in the glass, and a big head up top. Smell carries a little skunk and oxidation that tapers off once it’s been in the open air. Taste is clean a light pilsener malt, with a touch of the same water composition. Some peppery German hop, but I suspect there is a lack of availability and variety for organic hops so far. Dinging its nose when it’s travelled so far seems unfair, but that’s how it comes to me. I think it marks up better than most other organic beers I’ve had.

Hazy light golden with big white head. Light cereal aroma, no sweetness in the aroma. Very friendly drinkable flavor, nice palette too. Light malt (not watery, just light), hint of licorice, minimal hops, just a slight hint of bitter in the finish. Very clean drinkable German pils.

500 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a small foamy white head with decent retention, that reduces to a ring of lacing. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and solid robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a pretty solid Pilsener, obviously showing signs of age. Well balanced pale malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink despite lacking carbonation. It was still pretty enjoyable as it stood.

33cl Bottle from some Eko shop, thanks Manon! Clear golden colour, dense white head. Aroma of soft sweet malts, red apples, some grassy hops, all very muted. Flavour is medium sweet, soft sweeet malts again, light bready, some slightly annoying metallic flavour, grassy bitter finish. Light-bodied, oily mouthfeel. OK.

500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with fruit and hops. Sweet flavour of malt and fruit with a bitter, hoppy finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle at Zoo Brew. Pours a near clear light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of straw and grain with a hint of grassy hops as well as a touch of sweet citrus. Flavor has grain and straw up front with light citrus and grass supporting.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, grassy, light. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy gold, two finger carbonated head. Aroma of spiced malts, hop, citrus fruits, yeast and grass. Maybe some bubblegum as well. Earth components balance the lemon, peppercorns and yeast. Full flavored and well balanced pils. Chewy texture, very mildly bitter.

"Herbal, flowery and grassy aroma is the high point. The flavor is ok too, but doesn’t quite match up. The hefe was overcarbonated, this was a little too much in the other direction. Go figure. Overall a decent pils."

Alengrin (2085) - BELGIUM - AUG 31, 2014
Organic Bohemian-style Pilsener with loose and opening, but sticky head and pure golden blonde colour, clear. Clean pale malts, spicy hops, mint, honey, rose petals; soft malt sweetness in the mouth, medium carbo, clean and crisp without metallic tone, delicate herbal, almost mint-like hop bitterness in the finish. Refined and clean and therefore a very good Pilsener.

Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atlanta Highway). Mild sweetish malty nose, hay, clover flowers, berries(?). Bright golden straw, gentle carbonation rising. Light grassy initial, grain, very gentle malt sweetness, then balances, and it goes sort of dry in the finish. Thin, and fairly dry. Okay. Not as good as I expected. Their wheat brews are better.
