3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours black, with big, but short head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, bit roasty and some bread. Like all schwarzbieres it is dry, nice to drink, with some roasty bitterness. In my bottle there were some yeast-like leftovers which didn’t look too good. Overall, a good example of schwarzbier.

23.04.2013. Bottle. Dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, nuts with nice ashy notes. Starts with walnut and coffee aroma. Ashy. Finishes with nice, a bit floral bitterness. Good, drinkable schwarz. Enjoyed it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
courtesy of Allen - almost black in colour and with a persistent beige foam; very toasted nose of ashes and black chocolate; some fruity hoppy tones below; medium-bodied and pretty tasty; subtle carbonation and decently bitter, more collaboration between fruity hops and toasted chocolatey malts in a long finish; lingering hints of ashes - really good

Black beer with quickly disappearing beige head. Weak aroma, maltiness, chocolate and old socks notes. Pretty sweet with low bitterness. Nothing special.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Black body with average beige head. Reduces very quickly. Aroma is mostly malty with noticeable chocolate scents. Malty taste with little caramel and chocolate notes. Weak bitterness at the finish. Not bad but it could be better.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Weak aroma with almost no bitterness, a bit fizzy, with some caramel and bread notes. Boring with just a tiny twist. Not my cup of tea. Pours black with average head which stays as a ring.

Recenzja 23 lipca 2011 Idealne połączenie chmielowej goryczki i słodowej słodyczy, przyjemny czekoladowy zapach. Minusem szybko znikająca piana i zbyt niskie nasycenie dwutlenkiem węgla.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I’m not a big fan of lagers, but dark lager is very unusual in Poland and I was tempted to try, especially if it comes fro Pinta which I really value for what they’ve done on Polish market. Anyway - the beer - looks very nice in the glass, dark brown, close to black color, it’s unfiltered so it is good to decant it properly since yeast can add to much of acidity and earthy aromas to the beverage. The head is impressive - it’s dense, foamy, silky and long lasting. Aroma - indeed - you can find some walnuts, coffee, toffee and maybe chocolate. The hops aroma is very subtle. The taste is dominated by dark malts and special malts, the beer is quite full with nice counter balance from quite strong bitterness. The aftertaste is quite acid-sour and bitter.
Overall it’s a good beer, however lagers are not my world.
