Very nice chocolatey aroma from the bottle, not so much in the glass, more roasted malts there, but still very pleasant. Slightly sour in taste, but very good.

Very decent as for the dark lager. Head is beige and tiny, but short-lasting. Nuts, chocolate and some roast in the foreground. Medium bitterness. I’d like it more if it resembled pils more than stout.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Schroppfy. Pours a clear dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Heavy roast in the nose and a little pumpernickel. Medium body, again a heavy roastiness, some burned brown sugars and a solid malt bitterness. Very well made. 311011

Dobre piwo z czekoladową nutą i palonym intensywnie słodem jęczmiennym. Czarne intensywnie ciemne, lekko przebijają się refleksy czerwieni. Piana jak u pinty dość szybko znika. Pasteryzowane ale nie filtrowane

I’m not a big fan of lagers, but dark lager is very unusual in Poland and I was tempted to try, especially if it comes fro Pinta which I really value for what they’ve done on Polish market. Anyway - the beer - looks very nice in the glass, dark brown, close to black color, it’s unfiltered so it is good to decant it properly since yeast can add to much of acidity and earthy aromas to the beverage. The head is impressive - it’s dense, foamy, silky and long lasting. Aroma - indeed - you can find some walnuts, coffee, toffee and maybe chocolate. The hops aroma is very subtle. The taste is dominated by dark malts and special malts, the beer is quite full with nice counter balance from quite strong bitterness. The aftertaste is quite acid-sour and bitter. Overall it’s a good beer, however lagers are not my world.
