Sweet aroma of roasted barley, smoked plums and hint of american hops. Taste is also sweet with some sourness and hops. Very good balance of all aromas and taste.

Clear, dark brown colour. Very frothy and long lasting with small bubbles head. Very intense aroma of coffee, roasted malt, citrus and resin. High bitterness but very short. Correct sweetness. Taste is the same as aroma - coffee, citrus and resin. Carbonation is medium. At this moment this is one of the best beer from polish breweries.

Aroma with lots of hops (citrus and tropical) and quite some malt. Chocolate, coffee, resins a little bit of roast, sweetish with a bitter ending. Good balance.

500ml bottle. Pitch black color. Medium size, brown head, stays. Hops, sweet, malts, caramel in aroma. Sweet, malty, hops in taste. No alcohol detected. Lovely dark hoppy beer.

Bottle. Dark brown body, medium to small creamy head. Aroma has a mix of all kind of exotic hops but no roast. This is not what I want in a porter. Thick sticky mouthfeel. Taste follows the aroma: very hoppy, malty and viscous like a DIPA. Oily finish with plenty of exotic hops. Well, it’s not a bad beer but right now I really wanted a porter not some hop wankery.

suurjuust (976) - ESTONIA - JUL 5, 2014
Dark brown beer, tan head. Nose is hops, dried fruit, slight warm alcohol note, Flavor is roasty, burned notes, smoke, hops, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla. Hops and roast in the finish. The sticky roasty-hoppy bitterness coats the mouth. Lingering roast and booze. Not overly sweet. Pretty well balanced.

bottle AROMA: hops in the first place (citrus, flowers, herbs) however somehow repressed, later comes a bit of chocolate, coffee and roastiness; APPEARANCE: clear black/dark brown, ruby under intensive light, spectacular beige head, no lacing; TASTE: notes characteristic for Baltic porter hidden under hoppy notes which connotes rather black IPA, unquestionably high sweetness firmly countered by considerable bitterness (very high for Baltic porter); PALATE: body seems medium, low carbonation, warming from alcohol, finish is quite long, bitter, not astringent; OVERALL: interesting attempt, but this Baltic porter enriched with aroma introduced by Amarillo etc. doesn’t speak to me. EXPIRATION DATE: 2014-11-20

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2014 330ml bottle (BeerGallery Kazimer, Krakow)
Smells roasty, dark, some marmite too. Taste also a deep deep deep roast, but not as astringent as you might fear from such potency. Palate smooth and full. That burnt roast gets everywhere, covers every surface of your mouth. A touch sticky, but only to the level you’d expect from a beer of this strength. A little bit over-the-top, but not too much.

0,33ml bootle. Piwo bardzo ciemne brązowe, z ładną utrzymującą się pianą, która ładnie zdobi szkło. Aromaty słodu, karmelu, paloność, owoce cytrusowe/żywica i gorzka czekolada. Słodki smak słodu karmelowego, czekolada, lekka paloność i owoce cytrusowe. Pełne ciało, długi słodki posmak z długą przyjemną i intensywną gorczyką.
