Draught at the pub. Dark amber pour with medium foamy off white head. Nose is pine, grain. Flavor is salty, light pine, light malt and some grains with a bitter finish. Not very hoppy for an American barley wine.

Brown with a white head. Aroma is full of citrus hops with some caramel malt. Flavor is full of caramel and toffee, as well as some brown sugar, orange citrus and alcohol. Medium, sticky mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Draught. The look is clear, reddish in color, with a thinnish beige head. The smell is caramel, hops, fruits, pine, and good. The taste is alcohol, bitterness, hops, fruit, and ok.

Wow! This is a great beer. Cloudy copper with a tan head. The aroma is exploding with resinous floral hoppy bitterness. The palate is dry and the overall body mellow. The flavor is like a dry double le IPA and goes down like water. I don’t get any sweetness like I’m accustomed to from most barley wines. Too good. White intricate lace. Delicious!
