COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delightful farmhouse style Saison is brewed with citrus consuming Saison yeast traditionally from the northern regions of France and fresh hops grown locally in Sellwood, Oregon. This unique Portland-style Saison is well balanced with citrus sweetness and finishes with a crisp hoppiness. Ahhhhh….Tres bien!

Had this as part of the fresh hop selection at Belmont Station. I thought saisons were on the crisp side, this definitely sweet (caramel & white sugar,) with a little fresh hops spice, and the strong gassy presence of the belgian yeast. clear, dark yell, with slim white head. Main aroma is the yeast with sugar and distant sawdust. (have a beer planned to be review 700 but don’t want to jiggle things around.)

A hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice mix of spices, curacao, orange pulp, coriander, very nice. In mouth, a nice spiced malt with coriander, mandarine, curacao, light cloves, great. On tap at Belmont, Portland, Oct. 6 2012.

Tap at Beermongers Portland - 06/11/12. Very dark mahogony brown, approaching black, with a thin off white head that soon clears to the edge and forms a small pond. Nose contains light sour tones, a splash of funk, farmyard, light chocolate notes. Taste follows nose, fruity and farmy. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a tarte finish. Decent enough saison.
